Hayes Park

The shelter house at Hayes Park.

Jackson County Missouri purchased the 32 acres that would become Hayes Park in 1922, making it the first county park. Jackson County officials originally thought that Hayes Park was the location for Fort Osage.

Today, Hayes Park is equipped with a shelter house, restrooms, a small playground and a ball diamond.

For information on Hayes Park or to reserve the shelter house please contact Jackson Parks + Rec.
