There are two “Hopewellian” sites in the current day Fort Osage Park, the Sibley Site and the Sibley Bluff Top Site. These are the eastern-most of known of Kansas City Hopewell village sites.

Kansas City Hopewell people subsisted by both hunting and gathering and practicing agriculture. They were the “first” farmers in this region.
